This ancient practice is a guiltless blend of raja, bhakti and hatha yoga. Puse is a Spanish word translated to mean to have set, in this case, your intention to do yoga. Setting that intention brings an instant self-empowering calm and relaxation to the body. It’s in the commitment.
The natural way that we intuitively know how to move is encouraged and enhanced by the prana that builds and releases in our bodies as we hold and focus in postures. By encouraging breathing and focusing on the sensations with the mind, the body discovers what it already knows. The student dissolves into the divine knowledge that is held within every cell in every person.
Realizing we are responsible for our own experience at all times comes to us in waves of acceptance as we hold and release our asanas. The pure setting of the intention to allow our intuitive to take over and move our bodies is the ancient practice of yoga. We practice on the mats so we can live it in our daily lives.
We are all yogis and yoginis awakening once more to our intuitive knowledge that simply needs encouragement. This class is that encouragement.
Every class is for beginners of all levels
